Atoll Series
The Atoll Series game system is a simulation of tactical ground combat in the Pacific during World War II.
Each game in the system represents a battle between Allied and Imperial Japanese forces on one of the many
Pacific islands.

Two sets of rules are provided. The first contains Standard Rules that are common to all the games in the Atoll
Series game system. The second set contains Exclusive Rules for each game in the system, Initial
Deployment and the Reinforcement Schedule, and any special rules particular to that battle.

Each set within the series contains either two or three separate games. These represent battles for individual
islands within that atoll. Rules will be included so that each one of theses separate games may be linked
together to form a campaign game.

The games are designed for two players, but some of the games may accommodate multiple players. For
example, one player can play the US Marines, one can play the US Army, and the third plays the Japanese.
Inspired by Avalon Hill's ASL series, the game scale is 1 hour per turn, with most units at the platoon or
company level. Because of the nature of the tactical situation, all naval and air forces are abstract. The focus
of the system is with the ground combat aspect of the battle.
